Touring Club Malta was set up way back in 1984 by Dr Philip Agius  to enhance local interest in travelling in Malta and  abroad by car, motor-caravan, motorcycle or with a bicycle.   Since than it has provided assistance to a good number of local members wishing to go on motoring holidays both locally and abroad.

It has also been instrumental in assisting visiting members  affiliated to clubs registered with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and  the Federation International for Camping and Caravanning (FICC) when crossing through Italy over to the Maltese island with their own vehicles.
